SOUTH ADRIATIC
DAY 1.
Departure from SPLIT to MAKARSKA (PUŠCA)



MAKARSKA
is the center of the surrounding region known as Makarska Riviera, the city of more than 15 thousand inhabitants that encompasses picturesque villages at the foot of the Biokovo Mountain. Makarska is known for its sandy beach, which is almost 2 kilometers long. The walkways are lined with pine trees and surrounded by luxury hotels, tourist facilities, and gastronomical havens, and there is plenty of fun for both adults and children. As the night goes on, Makarska becomes livelier and livelier, and its cafes, restaurants and discotheques fill up.
DAY 2.
Island of BRAC - BOL & Island of HVAR - JELSA (Winery Andro Tomic)



BRAC, the largest island of the central Dalmatian group of islands, the third largest among the Adriatic islands. Bol exists in the solitude of the southern landscape, at the foot of the Bol crown and Vidova Mountain – the highest point of all Adriatic islands (778 m). To the west from Bol lies the beach Zlatni rat (Golden Horn) one of the largest and most beautiful attractions of the Adriatic. Like a small tongue it extends nearly half a kilometre into the clear blue sea.

HVAR, famouos for its beautiful nature and mild climate, excellent vine and olive oil, many would describe as a true fairy-tale place. Just like the rest of the Island, the area of Jelsa has a well-indented coastline, many small islands, coves and headlands where guests can relax and truly enjoy themselves. For as early as the 4th ctr. BC, the Ancient Greeks brought the grape vine to this sunny island. Troughout the centuries of rich and turbulent history, people on Hvar cultivated their vineyards with great skill and care. They grew some of the finest varieties in this area which You can enjoy in Winery Andro Tomic.
DAY 3.
PAKLENI OTOCI (Taverna Novak)



PAKLENI OTOCI (Pakleni Islands), a series of limestone islets in front of the south-western coast of the island of Hvar are one of the favourite nautical destinations on the Adriatic. Docks for yachts in the port of Palmizana - Palmizana ACI Marina, Soline (Sveti Klement) and in the passage between the islets of Planikovac and Marinkovac (the cove of Zdrilica) are well protected. Sand and pebble-beaches and beautiful coves provide excellent opportunities for bathing, underwater fishing, water sports. Boaters will be delighted by the entire area and should not miss a chance to get to know these jewels of nature and of the Croatian tourism. Tavern Novak, as well as ACI Marina, is situated in an attractive lagoon on the St. Clement, the largest island in the group.
DAY 4.
Island of VIS



Island VIS the beauty of limpid waters and protected submarine world rich with sunken ships and magic marine images that has been hidden for years. Relax on secluded beaches of numerous peaceful bays, in transparent blue sea and under the hot sun of Vis. The ancient Issa (Vis) is the oldest urban settlement on the Adriatic. Even old Greeks used this naturally protected haven that still today attracts many yachtsmen. Culture lovers will find concerts of traditional Vis Music Evenings as well as Archaeological Museum situated in the 19th century castle that preserves the treasure of ancient Issa. While strolling along stone paved streets, you will be allured by odours coming from numerous fish restaurants.
DAY 5.
Island of VIS - KOMIŽA



Positioned in the deep-lying open port on the western coastline of the island of VIS and at the foot of nearly 600 meter high Mt. Hum, KOMIŽA remains a picturesque Mediterranean town, with narrow streets, attractive stone houses squeezed together and numerous pebble beaches along the entire eastern coast of Komiža bay. You can sail out to nearby island of Biševo, to the Blue Cave, famous for its unique iridescent reflection of shades of blue and silver that delight the visitors. The maritime zone of Komiža is well-known for its wide selection of fish so be shure to try some in Komižan restaurants and family-owned wine cellars.
DAY 6.
Island of KORCULA and/or island of HVAR*



The island of KORCULA represents a unique fusion of beautiful nature, thousands of years of cultural tradition and history, and modern tourism. Numerous beautiful beaches and bays, luxurious hotels and summer houses, centuries old olive groves and vineyards, and ancient towns and villages on the island which seem as if they have remained lost in some long past time, attract tourist from all over the world to this island. The city of Korcula lies beside the sea on the north-east end of the island Korcula. The old medieval part of the city was built on a small oval peninsula, a Baroque suburb spreads under the old city walls, and newer town quarters stretch along the shore. It is considered to be a birthplace of Marco Polo, the famous explorer.

DAY 1.
Departure from SPLIT to Island of HVAR - town of STARIGRAD



Departure from SPLIT to Island of HVAR - town of STARIGRAD SPLIT is not only an urban, cultural and traffic centre of Dalmatia with road and sea connections to Dalmatia’s numerous summer resorts, but it is itself offen a tourist and excursionists destination. A city with a 1700- year old tradition, a variety of archaeological, historical and cultural monuments, among which the well-known Palace of Diocletian, inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage List, certainly occupies a special position, and the warmth and offer of a modern Mediterranean city.

STARI GRAD (eng. “old town”) is historical heart of the island of HVAR. ffe town is situated in a landscape where the blue of the deep bay touches the green of the wide an famous field of Pharos, with vineyards and olive-groves. ffe ffelds used to provide sustenance and the bay provided protection. A walk through the Stari Grad center, narrow streets and small squares brings the whisperings of the past times. Because of its position in the middle of the Hvar island, for centuries Stari Grad was a safe harbour to sailors, which have been welcomed by town inhabitants on harbour promenade. Stari Grad bay is still regulary visited by most of the travellers on boats passing trough middle Dalmatia. The summer months offer numerous cultural and sports events: the Summer of Stari Grad, concerts, recitals, shows. Stari Grad hosts the International Summer Music School in July and August.
DAY 2.

DAY 3.
Island of LASTOVO



LASTOVO is an ideal place for peaceful vacations, far from the usual crowd of tourists. Home-made food (Lastovo is famous for spiny lobsters) and exquisite wines, as well as sports and recreational opportunities - yachting, surfing, fishing - guarantee a pleasant stay. Especially attractive are the islands and islets of the Lastovo archipelago, with bathing and fish picnic opportunities. Thee island of Saplun is famous for itsbeautiful sand beaches. Above Lastovo, the largest place on the island, is the peak with a meteorological station, which offers a beautiful view on the eastern part of the island, the islets of Lastovci and the neighbouring island of Korcula.
DAY 4.
Island of MLJET



The Island of MLJET is situated in the far South of Croatia, west from Dubrovnik. A national park of the same name includes a western part of, according to some, the most beautiful island in the Adriatic. The Park is characterised by two deep bays which are called lakes due to their very narrow passages to the open sea (Veliko and Malo jezero/ the Great Lake and the Small Lake), and lush and diversified Mediterranean vegetation. On the peak of Mali Gradac (close to Babine Kuce) are the remains of an Illyrian fortification. The island was mentioned in Roman times under the name Melite. The remains from that period may be found all over the island - Pomena, Zare, Pinjevica. The ruins of palaces and of an early Christian basilica in Polace date back from the beginning of the early Middle Ages.
DAY 5.
Island of KORCULA



The island of KORCULA represents a unique fusion of beautiful nature, thousands of years of cultural tradition and history, and modern tourism. Numerous beautiful beaches and bays, luxurious hotels and summer houses, centuries old olive groves and vineyards, and ancient towns and villages on the island which seem as if they have remained lost in some long past time, attract tourist from all over the world to this island. The city of Korcula lies beside the sea on the north-east end of the island Korcula. VELA LUKA, a town and port on the western side of the island of Korcula, 45 km to the west of the town of Korcula. Apart from intact nature, Vela Luka offers its visitors all other advantages of modern tourism, from quality accommodation, over the variety of restaurants offering seafood and quality wines, to sports and recreational facilities and entertainment. Many find the Croatian folk songs sung by fishermen of Vela Luka in the evening hours the most impressive attraction. The coastal strip including the small islands (beautiful Proizd and Ošjak) represents a rich fishing ground.

Dubrovnik



DUBROVNIK - the city of a unique political and cultural history (the Dubrovnik Republic, the Statute from 1272), of world-famous cultural heritage and beauty (inscribed on the List of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO) - is one of the most attractive and famous cities of the Mediterranean. Apart from its outstanding natural beauties and wellpreserved cultural and historical heritage, Dubrovnik also offers high-quality visitor opportunities. It is also the city of hotels, of high ecological standards and tourist programs, and is equally attractive in all seasons. Its geographical isolation is compensated by high traffic and communication standards - especially through air traffc and fast hydrofoil boats.
DAY 4.
SLANO or STON (Pelješac peninsula)



The historical small town of STON, with its famous walls and numerous cultural and historical monuments, is one of the most beautiful examples of a fortified town and Dubrovnik architecture. The restaurants offer domestic specialities, especially oysters, as well as other seafood. Ston is also known for its saltworks, and the coast along the Channel and in the Prapratna cove provides fine swimming, fishing and underwater fishing opportunities. SLANO, a village and small harbour in the bay of the same name; 37.5 km northwest of Dubrovnik. Farming, olive-growing, viniculture, fruit-growing, tobacco, herbs (sage, laurel, woodworm), fishing and tourism are chief occupations. Yachts can anchor in the small protected Banja cove.
DAY 5.
Island of MLJET



The Island of MLJET is situated in the far South of Croatia, west from Dubrovnik. ŠIPAN, OREBIC (Pelješac)



The island of ŠIPAN is the largest of the Elafiti islands and has the most inhabitants in two villages, both sheltered by deep bays - Sućurac and Šipanska Luka. The clear swimming-water in various bays and the aboundance of fish in this area attract a lot of tourists. About thirty scattered churches built in the middle-ages are spread across the island, lot of them however have collapsed into ruins.

PELJEŠAC is the second largest Peninsula in the Adriatic after the peninsula of Istria. The winemaking on Pelješac has a long history, since the Roman times. The most widespread sort of grape is plavac mali, and from this grape the world famous wines are created on unique locations of Dingac and Postup. Pelješac cuisine is characterized by plenty of fish, olive oil, vegetables and herbs growing by the sea shores. The rich variety of seafood and fish are most often grilled “na gradele”, but there are numerous delicious ways of preparing food Dalmatian way. Lamb is the most popular meat.

OREBIC is the town with more than 1500 inhabitants, on the south side of the Pelješac peninsula (best Croatian vines), turned towards Korcula, at the foot of the Sv.Ilija mountain (961m). Colorful town, birthplace of navala captains and sailors whose rich tradition is kept in the Orebic naval museum. Orebic provides to its guests untouched nature of centennial pines, cypresses, olives, almonds, agaves and flowers. Orebic gives excellent oportunities to take walks along the sea where Orebic yards are lined up, along the picturesque sandy beaches and vegetation or further inland.

DAY 1.
Departure from SPLIT to TROGIR (VELA RINA - MALI DRVENIK)

A city with a 1700- year old tradition, a variety of archaeological, historical and cultural monuments, among which the well-known Palace of Diocletian, inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage List, certainly occupies a special position, and the warmth and offer of a modern Mediterranean city.

TROGIR is situated in the center of Dalmatia. The heart of Trogir is small islet laying between the gentle hills on the mainland and the coast of the Island of Ciovo. It is the city with 2300 years of tradition. Its rich culture is created under the influence of old Greeks, Romans, Venetians. Trogir is a town-museum in the very meaning of the word, with concentration of palaces, churches, towers, fortress on a small island in every way deserves it’s nickname “The Stone Beauty” and UNESCO’s acknowledgement as a World cultural Heritage.

Entertainment includes lively shermen’s nights and folklore show but also classical music concerts in special scenic sets of the town.

DAY 2.
PRIMOŠTEN



PRIMOŠTEN, a small town and harbour on a small peninsula between the coves of Raduca and Primošten, 30 km southeast of Šibenik. Some of the natural characteristics of Primošten are: the unique Mediterranean atmosphere created by the closely built stone houses in numerous narrow streets, crystal clear sea, crickets singing, shady pine forests and the beaches fully equipped for pleasure and enjoyment. Tasting of the famous local red wine, Babic, is a must. Babic is produced from the autochthonous wine sort in the famous vineyards of Primošten, located in the rocks. These vineyards are granted the offcial status of a monument to human efforts. Primošten is also home of Aurora - the largest discotheque in Dalmatia.
DAY 3.
River KRKA falls

The KRKA National Park is a spacious, largely unchanged region of exceptional and multifaceted natural value, and includes one or more preserved or insignificantly altered ecosystems. With its seven travertine waterfalls and a total drop of 242 meters, the Krka River is a natural and karsti phenomenon. The estuary of the Krka River is 23.5 kilometers in length and is considered an exceptional phenomenon, due to its lack of pollution and biological vitality. It is an area rich in shellfish, freshwater fish and saltwater fosh.
DAY 4.
ŠIBENIK



The historic town of ŠIBENIK, connected with the expansion and development of the early Croatian state, is rich in cultural and historical monuments. The most representative among them is the famous Cathedral of Šibenik, one of the most original architectural projects of the late Middle Ages. Sibenik is the birthplace of one of the greatest world basketball players Dražen Petrovic. Šibenik is today a tourist centre situated in the area where the best-indented archipelago in Europe (Islands of Kornati) and karst hydrographical phenomena (Skradinski Buk, Visovac, Roski Waterfall) merge into the ecologically and aesthetically most attractive tourist and recreational zone on the Croatian Adriatic.
DAY 5.
KORNATI islands arhipelago, SALI (Dugi otok), ZVERINAC i ZADAR



National Park KORNATI Islands, the largest and densest archipelago in the Adriatic Sea, consists of 147 islands, islets and reefs comprising an area of 69 sq km, scattered at an area of 234 sq km. „On the last day of the Creation God desired to crown his work, and thus created the Kornati Islands out of tears, stars and breath” - wrote George Bernard Shaw. Beautiful nature, a network of countless islands and islets, the magni cent sea - all this makes the Kornati Islands an attractive destination of numerous excursionists and boaters.

DUGI OTOK (Long Island), an island in the Zadar group of islands of the northern Dalmatian archipelago.

SALI is a small town and harbour in the cove bearing the same name, on the northeastern coast of the island. The famous “Saljske užance”, held within the Summer in Sali, is a performance representing the rich local folklore tradition, which attracts hundreds of boaters with large and small yachts. Other tourist attractions include the donkey race, a very funny and cheerful event, and the procession of illuminated boats.

ZVERINAC, an islet in the Zadar archipelago between the island Veli Tun and the northern coast of Dugi Otok. On the western coast are the coves Kablin and Zverinac, the harbour of the only village, which bears the same name.

ZADAR - for centuries the capital city of Dalmatia and today the centre of the region. A city with a rich heritage of world importance, visible at every step. The Roman Forum from the 1st century; St. Donatus’ Church from the 9th century is the most famous medieval basilica and trademark of the city. The City of Zadar is not only known for its historical and cultural monuments but also for its amply supplied vegetable and fish markets on the peninsula (a part of the old city). In the direct vicinity of the “green market” is the fish market with an exceptionally diverse offer of fish and seafood, as well as salted sardines by the piece.
DAY 6.
ŽIRJE, ŠOLTA



ŽIRJE, the biggest island in the Šibenik archipelago, about 22 km southwest of Šibenik. The island has many coves and a long costal line (39,2 km). Shelter for ships and boats are the coves of Mala Stupica and Vela Stupica, and Tratinska. Žirje is known for its natural beauties, clear and blue sea and some very interesting cultural and historical monuments.

ŠOLTA - restless and spiteful outlines of the island, its beauty and healing healthy climate promise a complete peace and pleasant moments in harmony with nature. The emperor Diocletian and the queen Teuta knew that wayback. The same island with the same stubbornly beautiful nature and its fascinating beauty we’re able to feel even today.

STOMORSKA is the oldest coastal village of the island, situated at the foot of sanctuary of Our Lady of Stomorija (St.Maria) or Our Lady of Pines (Gospe od Bori). Today it is a tourist village with many cafés, taverns, apartments, motor camp, and a hotel. It is also very well known for its summer fishermen parties.

MASLINICA is the only Šolta’s village situated in the cove of the western part of the island. It has beautiful scenery of picturesque cove and pinewood in the southern side and also of its wellprotected cove of Sesul and archipelago of seven islands.

RAVA, an island in the Zadar archipelago, between Dugi Otok in the west and Iz in the east. Very peacefull island with diverse coast. In its vicinity is the attractive cove of Telašcica.
DAY 4.
Biograd - Vodice



BIOGRAD - thanks to its position in the most indented part of the Croatian Adriatic coast, the area provides excellent opportunities for nautical tourism and boating as one of few parts of the Mediterranean. In the close vicinity are three national parks: Paklenica, Kornati Archipelago and Krka, as well as Telašcica Nature Park. Apart from cultural and historical heritage, Biograd is also characterized by nice beaches, picturesque bays and various accommodation facilities. The town has a number of restaurants offering specialities of local and international cuisine.

VODICE are 12km northeast from Šibenik, situated along the coast in a large bay. Vodice has been praised by thousands of tourists for its tourist acievements. It is one of the best known tourist destinations on the Adriatic, not only because it can accommodate a large number of tourists, but for its tourist facilities and entertainment offered. Hundreds of comfortable restaurants and pubs, daily cruises, excursions by boat and by bus, rich cultural and artistic programme are only part of the rich choice for entertainment. In the very centre of the town there is a big marina with more than 400 berths and all the necessary equipment. Endless sandy, pebbly, rocky or concrete beaches, long coastal path (that goes west all the way to Tribunj and south-east to Srima), rich sports and recreational programmes as well as many other water sports will satisfy all the needs. In numerous restaurants you can enjoy in sea food and in well known desert wine marastina and the night clubs and discos will entertain you till small hours.
DAY 5.
Zlarin



ZLARIN, an island in the Šibenik archipelago, southwest of Šibenik; separated from the land by the Šibenik Channel, and from a series of islets in the south-west by the Zlarin Channel. It’s a pecefull islands with no cars allowed, with nice sandy beaches and hospitable people. In the 16th century, the refugees fleeing from the Ottoman Turks settled on Zlarin. There are many churches in the town: the Baroque parish church built in 1735-1740; St. Roch (Rocco) at the old graveyard, dating from 1650; Our Lady of Rašelj (first half of the 15th c., restored in Baroque style in 1714); St. Simon from the second half of the 17th century. The chapel of the Nativity of Christ, incorporated in the Zuliani Palace, was built in the first half of the 17th century.
DAY 6.
Trogir



TROGIR is situated in the center of Dalmatia. The heart of Trogir is small islet laying between the gentle hills on the mainland and the coast of the Island of Ciovo. It is the city with 2300 years of tradition. Its rich culture is created under the influence of old Greeks, Romans, Venetians. Trogir is a town-museum in the very meaning of the word, with concentration of palaces, churches, towers, fortress on a small island in every way deserves it’s nickname “The Stone Beauty” and UNESCO’s acknowledgement as a World cultural Heritage.
